Meet our Social Media Manager Dawn!

Our Social Media Manager Dawn, shares the journey that led her to her current role at Auric. From a background in hospitality to developing a passion for digital content and communication, she shares how her skills and interests have evolved along the way. Having been with the company since its early days, Dawn offers an insight into the work that happens behind the scenes — and the influences that continue to shape how Auric presents itself online.

"If you’ve ever liked one of our Instagram posts, read a post in our journal, or browsed our website for inspiration, chances are I’ve had a hand in it. My role sits quietly behind the scenes, but it’s one I absolutely love- shaping how the world sees Auric in the digital world. I play a key role in shaping how the practice is seen and experienced online - whether through our social media platforms, blog content or website.

I’ve been with Auric since the very beginning, and it’s been hugely rewarding to support the company’s growth and evolution over the years. I feel genuinely proud to be part of a team that’s so committed to thoughtful, collaborative design, and it’s a privilege to help communicate that work to a wider audience.

My professional background is in hospitality management- a world that revolves around people, experience, and presentation- so the transition into digital content came quite naturally. Although interior design wasn’t my original path, I’ve always had a strong appreciation for aesthetics and the power of good design. At Auric, I’ve found a role that allows me to bring together my interests in storytelling, visuals and communication in a way that feels both creative and purposeful.

Managing Auric’s online presence means wearing a few hats. I look after our social media platforms, update our website content, help write copy for everything from blog posts to project features, and generally ensure that the tone and the visual identity of the brand is reflected consistently across all platforms. Behind every caption or page update is a lot of planning, teamwork, and (if I’m being honest) a fair amount of coffee!

One of the most satisfying parts of the job is sharing completed projects — those moments where all the detail, planning and collaboration come together. Presenting them to our online audience is a chance to showcase the team’s work and celebrate the transformation.

Outside of work, I have a long-standing passion for food, wine, hospitality and travelling. Time with my two children is precious to me, and I also have a growing interest in architecture, which has been shaped in no small part by my time at Auric. Whether it’s the detailing on a historic building or the way light moves through a space, I find myself noticing more and more of what surrounds us.

Being part of Auric means working in an environment where care and creativity are at the heart of everything. Although my role is behind the scenes, I feel closely connected to the design work we produce and proud to help share it with the wider world!
