About Me
I’m José, founder of JK Interior Design, and my lifelong passion for creativity shapes every bespoke interior I create. From a young age, I could lose hours painting, cutting, sticking, and making things, completely absorbed in the process. Arts and crafts were more than childhood hobbies; they were where my imagination thrived and where my love for design first began. Looking back, those early creative moments laid the foundations for the career I have today. After studying TV and Film Production and discovering a passion for set design, I realised that shaping spaces was my true calling. I went on to spend seven years as Director of an independent interior design studio, building a wealth of experience and refining my eye for detail, style, and functionality.
Today, every space I design is rooted in a deep desire to create meaningful environments places where people feel at home, inspired, and connected.

THE PROCESS
The process begins with an initial consultation, either in person or online, to understand your requirements and define the vision. From there, I create a detailed design brief and proposal outlining my ideas for your space.
Once approved, I'll refine the concepts collaboratively with you, developing designs that balance functionality with your desired aesthetic. When the final design is agreed, you can choose to implement it independently or entrust me with full project management, working alongside my trusted network of contractors.
For larger commercial projects, I also offer a comprehensive sourcing and consultancy service, collaborating closely with architects and suppliers to deliver right through from conception to completion.
