Oswaldtwistle

This three-bed detached property in Oswaldtwistle is an original cottage that had already been extended to add an additional bedroom and create a larger open plan living space.

The juxtaposition of the older parts of the property and newly extended sections have created some very interesting architectural features such as varying floor heights, large windows and changes in ceiling heights, allowing certain areas to feel spacious and open whilst other areas have a more traditional cottage feel.

Our aim was to make the most of these features and give the property a contemporary finish whilst remaining sympathetic to building’s history. We used a neutral palette and lots of contrasting textures to give the property and clean and contemporary feel.
