Our clients had a clear vision for their desired aesthetic—an industrial style, but with plenty of warmth. We used a muted base colour palette and a variety of different textures. Warm accents have been brought into the scheme through furniture and finishes.

An open-plan living space at the back of the house, previously a non-functional dining room and kitchen has been knocked through and extended slightly to the rear.Crittall-style doors have been included across the back wall, allowing for plenty of natural light and views of the garden. Additional skylights are part of the single-storey extension and will bring in more light from above.

The space needed to be perfect for hosting lots of guests. We kept the layout open, providing ample room for movement and circulation. The kitchen area has been designed to facilitate the social aspect of the space ensuring that hosts and guests stay connected. A large dining table overlooking the garden, is flooded with natural light and we have also included a bar unit.

A snug area for additional seating/relaxing has been created and is divided by a bespoke bookshelf to demarcate areas and create a feeling of intimacy.
